The Pre-Festival Recital Night is Monday, February 18 at 7:00 pm in the Bandroom, hosted by the Limon Music Club Ladies.  All S&E participants are highly encouraged to participate and the public is invited, of course. 

The annual CHSAA Solo & Ensemble Festival is Saturday, February 23 in Limon.  Students in grades 6-12 in band and/or choir may participate by playing or singing, or performing a piano solo. Reminder:  All vocal and piano solos MUST be memorized or students will automatically be dropped down to the next rating.  Schedules will come out by the beginning of next week.

            On Tuesday, February 12, the LHS Choir attended a Backstage Workshop at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House in the Denver Performing Arts Complex.  The purpose of the trip was to learn about what it takes to put on an opera or musical theater production, and  included  learning about special effects, costumes, lighting design, theater makeup, props, sets, and more! 

            Music Parents:  FYI, because of school being cancelled on February 5, the choir’s trip to the All State Choir concert was cancelled.  You’ll be happy to know that all unused tickets were resold and the money deposited back into the Music Parents’ Account!
