Centennial Mental Health Center

Anyone who is interested in a career in Mental Health or related field look no farther. If your intent is to complete a bachelor’s degree in mental health related field, submit the application and transcript along with an essay and two letters of recommendation; showing academic achievement, aptitude and community service. Midland Lutheran College

Are you in the top 20% of your class, have a minimum GPA of 3.5 or score of 25 on the ACT? If you meet two of these qualifications and can write an essay, you are eligible for the Anderson Leader Scholarship. For other scholarships, you must be in the top 50% of your class, have a GPA of 3.0 and score a 20 on the ACT.

They also offer an Honors Scholarship for sen-ior’s with a 3.2 or higher. The application is due by November 1, 2007 and the interviews will be help during the Tech Expo.

The Gates Millennium Scholars Program

In conjunction with the American Indian Graduate Center Scholars, the Asian and Pacific Islander American Scholarship Fund and the Hispanic Scholarship Fund, one thousand students will be selected. Students are eligible to be nominated or recommended if they are: African American, American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian and Pacific Islander American or Hispanic American. If they are citizens or legal permanent resident or national of the United States. They have to have a GPA of 3.3, planning to enroll in the fall of 2008, have leadership abilities or community service, or extracurricular activities, meet the Federal Pell Grant eligibility criteria and have all three required forms submitted. Our school can award three $1,000 scholarships for students attending a career college. You can apply after Jan. 1st as long as you meet the qualifications. We will accept the first three applicants. Apply at www.imagine-america.org

School of Visual Arts

The School of Visual Arts invites applications to the Silas H. Rhodes Scholarship Program, a scholarship completion for new students, for the 2008-2009 school year. To qualify, all admission and scholarship materials must be postmarked by February 1, 2008 for all first-time freshman applicants OR March 1, 2008 for all transfer applicants.

Youth Tobacco Advocate Scholarship

Any Colorado sophomore, junior or senior who has written an original, published newspaper article about tobacco education. Application materials must be postmarked by December for fall and May for spring. For application deadlines see Mrs. Bandy
